NSW Fires Update
Donkey Welfare was involved in the evacuation of many privately owned animals during the catastrophic time so close to our own at The Heartland. The blanket of smoke did not prevent a convoy of floats collecting and relocating donkeys, horses, dogs, pigs and geese to safety.
Sadly one old donkey was not able to be reached in time. His owner found him dead upon her return when the fire danger had passed.
Volunteers pitched in to offer in all manner of ways, including putting out spot fires when hot embers drifted upon the changing wind.
We did a great job helping our fellow man and creatures as the time of crisis.
WE WISH ALL SUPPORTERS A VERY MERRY AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
THANKS for helping us care for hundreds of donkeys in need. Stay with the cause in 2020.
